2. Objectives (expected learning outcomes)

In-depth insight in national and European rules of unlawful competition and consumer protection law.

Being able to analyse  and resolve cases




3. Course content

Unlawful competition is in essence a collective term for competing acts that infringe the protectable interests of a competitor.

The course is dividend into two parts:

General lectures on unlawful competition law and consumer protection law. In these lectures some specific topics will be discuss such as advertising rules, passing off, leaning on, misappropriation of trade secrets or confidential information and disparagement of a competitors goods or services.

Moot court session on unlawful competition: all students will take part in simulated court proceedings, including drafting briefs and participating in an oral argument
