The IELSP is a postgraduate study programme offering a variety of courses in international, European and comparative law. The knowledge that this programme offers will be of value to students from all over the world.
Every year, the IELSP attracts students from Africa, North and South America, Asia and Europe. As students of about 20 nationalities participate in the IELSP, you will attend class with students from many different (legal) cultures. We offer a high quality educational experience and welcome the contribution made by the diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
The Programme is composed of 12 courses. All courses are taught in English by a teaching staff consisting of distinguished academics from the University of Antwerp. Instruction is a combination of different teaching methods.
Participants are required to attend all classes in which they have been enrolled and an adequate home preparation is expected from each student as well. There is an obligatory reading load. Background material (lecture notes, statutory and treaty provisions, cases and other relevant legal texts) are distributed to all participants, are available in the faculty library or can be bought in the university shop.
