A first International Workshop on Discourse in Organizations (Antwerp/Knokke September 21-23, 2005) brought together a number of  researchers from discourse analysis, linguistic pragmatics and text studies. 

In particular, the workshop was meant to provide a platform for empirical work that takes into account the organizational setting of discursive practices, for example by taking an ethnographic perspective on the data.  A selection of the papers presented has now appeared in Lodz Papers in Pragmatics, Vol 2
