To get acquainted with key concepts and theories of international relations.
To acquire the knowledge of basic and current facts in international politics.
3. Course content
The objective of this course is to give an introduction in international politics. The following subjects are dealt with: the relevance of theories of international relations for understanding international politics; Realism, Liberalism, and Constructivism; integration-theories; foreign policy; international political economy, including development issues; globalisation; threats to international peace and security; environmental issues.
