2. Objectives (expected learning outcomes)
- Active knowledge of the basics of the Spanish vocabulary
- Active knowledge of the basics of the Spanish grammar
- Passive knowledge of written and spoken discourse regarding socioeconomic subjects
- Initiation to writing and speaking skills regarding socioeconomic subjects



3. Course content
- Grammar: working knowledge
- Vocabulary: general and more specialized (economic and business) lexis
- Landeskunde: a reading assignment will introduce students to some current aspects of the Spanish speaking world
