Chair on Sustainability in partnership with the Antwerp Management School, Deloitte Belgium and BASF NV
The purpose of the chair is the development of thought leadership in corporate responsibility and sustainability, and the promotion of insights on the topic. Within the chair, a research programme will be developed. The insights in corporate responsibility and sustainability will also be integrated in the educational programmes of the faculty of Applied Economic Sciences.
Prof. dr. Rudy Martens is member of the steering committee of the chair. The chairholder is prof. dr. Luc Van Liedekerke .

VZW Pascion Chair on purchasing and value creation  
The purpose of the chair is to ensure research in the field of purchasing, supply management and procurement, and this from a local, regional & global perspective as well as fr om a value creation perspective.
The VZW PASCION, a federation of the top purchasing companies in Belgium, fueled by Asco and Belgacom, finances a ‘Chair on Purchasing and Value Creation’ at the University of Antwerp with the aim of building a competence center at international level based on independent and free academic research on supply management while guarding for relevance for the Belgian/Flemish companies and institutions.
The chairholder will be prof. dr. Paul Matthyssens . The chair will act as an academic knowledge hub for signaling global trends and developments to purchasing and supply chain professionals. By providing high quality research and sharing the research results, the chair will stimulate discussions among the supply management professionals and interested parties. Indirectly the chair will contribute to the development of a future talent pool on supply management by involving students in supply management research projects. KBC chair in financial risk management
Risk management is currently a hot topic in the financial sector; a fact borne out repeatedly over recent months and years by the financial crisis. New insight into the subject will lead to improved risk management in the future. Precisely for this reason, the UA and KBC join forces and create the KBC chair in Risk Management, which will focus on financial risk management.
