This international Master programme teaches you the fundamental principles of neuroscience and trains you to perform neuroscience research as part of a multidisciplinary team. You have the possibility to join one of the university’s spearhead laboratories or institutes and you have also the possibility to combine your study with an international experience.
The neurosciences comprise a vast multidisciplinary field of research aimed at understanding normal and pathological brain function. Combining the neuroscience field with preclinical and clinical (drug) research or with molecular and cellular life sciences enhances the multidisciplinary character. In order to plan experiments, to collect, interpret and analyse data, and to better understand how the brain really functions, you need to know how to synthesise information from different disciplines.
A Master Degree in Neuroscience offers you many career opportunities. Graduates continue on to universities and research institutes, the pharmaceutical industry, and the science, industry and healthcare sectors where they hold policy and management positions.
