 The Centre for the Evaluation of Vaccination (CEV) of the University of Antwerp and EMSA Antwerp, (European Medical Students Association of Antwerp), invite you to join us in an unforgettable summer school to boost your knowledge and skills on vaccinations, immunology and vaccine safety issues!
Vaccines are one of the most effective health interventions ever developed. Immunization is a safe and effective way to protect people against several diseases. The risks of these diseases are far greater than the risk of immunization. Immunization coverage remains a matter of concern as long as people are not protected against sometimes fatal complications of infectious diseases. Good vaccination programmes and well-trained health professionals make a difference! However, vaccinology is a poorly addressed issue during training of future health care workers, leaving many without the necessary skills and knowledge on communication about vaccines and how to administer them.
Because immunization is a responsibility of all health care workers, our program is of interest to all medical, nursing or midwifery students and postgraduates.

Registration for 2012 opens in January 2012. Registration closes 20 of April 2012.
Scholarships are available for students. The fee includes breakfast, lunch and dinner on course days, accommodation during 9 nights and days, local transport, course materials and part of the social & cultural programme.
Participants will be admitted according to the date of registration and ensuring a balance in terms of regions and gender. Acceptance and payment methods will be notified by the summer school secretariat and registration will be confirmed after we received your payment of the program fee.
