MA EITEI/EGEI ‘Economic Issues of Migration’ Conference in Lille in November 2011
At the end of November 2011 (exact date to be communicated later) the EQUIPPE research centre of Université de Lille 1, in collaboration with the Agence Française de Développement and the EITEI/EGEI Consortium will organise an international conference on the economic issues of migration (details follow).
The EMJD GEM PhD School as an associate partner of the EITEI/EGEI Consortium
From the academic year 2011-12 onwards, the Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate Programme GEM PhD School (‘Globalisation, the EU and Multilaterism’), co-ordinated by the Université Libre de Bruxelles, will be an associate partner of the EITEI/EGEI Consortium of universities.

Publication of the proceedings book of the June 2nd 2010 conference in the European Parliament
In May 2011, Edward Elgar Publ. Company will publish the book The Economic Crisis and European Integration, edited by Wim Meeusen, and containing a selection of the papers presented at the conference ‘The Economic Crisis and the Process of European Integration’, organised by the MA in the European Parliament (ISBN: 978-1-84980-420-2).

From the academic year 2011-2012 onwards, the existing EMMC MA Economics of International Trade and European Integration (EITEI) is renamed and reoriented to an MA Economics of Globalisation and European Integration (EGEI).

The MA EGEI is hoping to be granted Erasmus Mundus funding for the second time
The Consortium has sent in its Erasmus Mundus application last April 2010. It missed selection for funding from the Erasmus Mundus programme by a hairbreadth.
