Please note that students who wish to register for an advanced master programme from the Institute of Development Policy and Management (IOB) or the Institute of Transport and Maritime Management Antwerp (ITMMA) should contact the organisation for the relevant admission details.

Registration procedure for new students - academic year 2013-2014

The registrations for the academic year 2012-2013 have been closed. Only new PhD students can still register using the form for the academic year 2012-2013.

Registration for first time students for the academic year 2013-2014 has to be done in person at the central student administration office. Registrations will start on July 1, 2013.

The following documents need to be presented on registration:

a completed and signed registration form academic year 2013-2014, which should be completed on-line using the preregistration-application
a letter of acceptance, obtained through the admission procedure (if applicable)
a certificate that you have complied with the language requirements (if applicable)
extra for Chinese students: an APS-certificate (see admission procedure for Chinese students)
extra for registration in medical studies: proof of a passing grade in the entrance examination which is organized on a yearly basis by the Flemish Ministry of Education (see http://www.ond.vlaanderen.be/toelatingsexamen/ for more information).

Payment of the registration fees should only take place after your registration is accepted by the central student administration.

Renewing your registration for the academic year 2013-2014

The registrations for the academic year 2012-2013 have been closed. Only new PhD students can still register.

The application to renew your registration for the academic year 2013-2014 will be available in the SisA selfservice for the student after July 16, 2013.

Important remark: you can only use this registration application if you have been a student of the University of Antwerp during the academic year 2012-2013. You can only renew your registration for the programme for which you obtained permission from the faculty. If you want to register for a new programma, it's possible that the admission procedure applies.

Only after your registration form has been processed by the registration office will you be able to select your courses through your SisA self-service. Always pay attention to the "Holds" which may be present in your self-service and which could contain important information why your registration cannot yet be processed.

If you don't want to continue your studies at the University of Antwerp in the new academic year 2013-2014, it's not necessary to end your registration in the academic year 2012-2013. Your registration for 2012-2013 will end when the academic year ends at the end of September 2013.
