During the first days of semester most faculties, such as Applied Economic Sciences, Arts, Political & Social Sciences, Law, organize a welcome session for orientation on academic matters. It is absolutely essential to attend this information session. The dates of these sessions are communicated during the general Orientation Days organized by the International Relations Office right before the start of semester.
Students studying at the faculties of Sciences and Pharmaceutical, Biomedical Sciences, Veterinary Medicine should contact the international co-ordinator individually for a personal welcome and assistance.
Each faculty/department has one or more ombudspersons, who mediate if educational problems or examinations issues occur. The ombudsperson has the task to inform the students about the examination rules. If the student faces fears, stress, concentration problems… the ombudsperson can refer to a doctor, psychologist or student counselor on campus. She/he mediates between the student and the examiner in order to prevent or solve problems. He can attend the examination on motivated demand of the student or the examiner. He guards the rights of the student during final examination board meetings. He advises in case of fraud.
You can obtain the names of the ombudspersons from the International relations Office or find on the website
