Each year 'De Lloyd', publisher of the two daily newspapers 'De Lloyd' and 'Le Lloyd' awards a money prize of 2,500 Euro to an ITMMA graduate for having best met the following two criteria for the MTMM programme:
- an excellent thesis or thesis project (i.e. 'magna cum laude' or great distinction for the thesis or the thesis project) and
- very good results (i.e. 'cum laude' or distinction) for all courses of the MTMM programme.

The 'De Lloyd Award' is granted during the Graduation Ceremony in May to a student who completed all courses and the thesis in that specific academic year. Students who submit their thesis in the second session (September) and as such did not graduate in May are not eligible for the 'De Lloyd Award'.
