It is very interesting to give researchers/PHD students the chance to discuss their research design with the lecturers.
It was an interesting introduction to qualitative and quantitative research, which I really needed at this stage of my PhD.

The Summer school was very useful, especially the individual time we got with Vincent and Sven. One can find books to learn statistics from, but rarely such competent and friendly people who make learning easier and much more interesting.
I especially like the fact that we get a good overview of a range of methodologies, which we can then study in detail afterwards.
I liked the mixed character of both the course and the group.
The lecturers were prepared, confident, helpful, patient and, importantly, personable.
