Higgs
Higgs.jpgOn July 4th of 2012 two experiments CMS en ATLAS at the LHC in Geneve presented new results regarding the hunt for the Brout-Englert-Higgs boson. They announced on a joint seminar the 5 sigma discovery of a new elementary particle. At the 'Universitaire Stichting' in Brussels a press conference was organised to elaborate about the results. Our research group 'Elementaire Deeltjes Fysica' (Elementary Particle Physics) played an important role in the discovery and therefore organised at 9AM in room U241 a videoconference with the rest of the CERN groups.
