Eindcompetenties (eindtermen) The student will reach an understanding of the world wide variety in English. 3. Inhoud Today’s Anglicists can no longer exclusively concern themselves with the English of England. The course will start with a survey of the main parameters of world wide variation in the structure of English, and will then focus on some case studies from contemporary research (as from the journal English World-Wide or the series Varieties of English around the World).
