Eindcompetenties (eindtermen) This course wants to make the students familiar with the complexity of European and International diplomacy in 2011. 3. Inhoud This course will focus on up-to-date problems and scenarios in various fields of diplomacy and international politics. It will intensively cover questions of Security Policy in a transatlantic as well as European framework, examine the problem of Global Governance (G20 vs. UN Security Council), look at modern Public Diplomacy, touch on the challenges for European security following climate change, discuss the changing European political landscape following demography and immigration, discuss European values, tries to compare the European with the American Dream and will look at unsolved "Frozen conflicts" in Europe. 4.
