2. Objectives (expected learning outcomes)
The student's ability to analyse (problems) and the skills to synthesize should be strengthened.
Students should after this course be able to:
* analyse and evaluate the competitive position of a business;
* analyse markets in a systematic way;
* formulate strategy options based on assumptions about the market and businesses;
3. Course content In this course we will focus on the economic analysis of the environment and strategy of a firm or business and the feedback of this analysis to strategy. We will for example discuss vertical integration, outsourcing, horizontal borders of a firm, transaction costs, market structure, entry and exit, pricing dynamics, analysis of core comptences etc.
