2. Objectives (expected learning outcomes)
To understand and interpret the basic elements of descripive statistics in a correct way.
A general introduction into descriptive statistics. A non-mathematical approach.
Frequent use of graphic presentations. The focus is on insight and certainly not on memorising formulas.


3. Course content
Variables and measuring scales, grouped and non-grouped data, graphic presentation of data, central tendency, dispersion, symmetry, curve, concentration and interdependance. At the beginning of the course more detailed information will be given about content, learning method and assessment method.
