2. Objectives (expected learning outcomes) At the end of this course the student should show a good comprehension of the basic physics of life and the physics necessary for successfully completing the further biological education.
3. Course content The subjects involve vectors, kinematics, dynamics, hydrostatics, surface tension and capillarity, hydrodynamics, thermometry, transport of matter, thermodynamics, geometrical optics, vibrations and waves. These subjects are elaborated with examples, appilications and exercises related to biology as much as possible. The content is also set to practice with laboraty-assignments.
