3. Course content
A. Compelled education: 1) Common grounds with medicine 3: topics on medical law (12h:T. Vansweevelt); Introduction in medical sociology and use of the Social Map (Chart) (12h:G. Van Hal). 2) Screening and predictive medicine: individual and social consequences (9h:A. Meheus, G. Van Camp). 3) Emergency medicine (9h:L. Bossaert and collaborators). 4) Updates and complements: seminars on pharmacotherapy (16h:Ph. Jorens, J. Totté); organisation of day hospitalisation (6h:C. Vrints, M. Vercauteren en G. Hubens); functional anatomy (12h:L. De Clerck, H. Bortier) 4.4. complements on radiology (6h:A. De Schepper). B. Optional subjects (coordinator: P. Van Damme). An optional subject will be organised if at least 5 students are enrolled to this specific subject. Students are compelled to choose one of the optional subjects (10h). The enrollment for the optional subjects mentioned below, has to be done before November 15 (M.Van Duysen, student's secretariat, Faculty of Medicine, campus Drie Eiken). History of Medicine 2 (10h:R.Van Hee); Sports Medicine (10h:R.Roelandt); Medical English (10h); Medical French (10h); Medicine and different cultures (10h: L.Ferrant, eventually in collaboration with the Flemish Centre of Migrant Integration).
