1. Prerequisites *Algemene competenties The students are skilful in employing traditional office tools (Word, Excel,
Access, Powerpoint, ...) and other software packages including word processors,
databases, spreadsheets and presentation software. The student is experienced
in writing programmes using a specific programming language (C, C++, Java,
Pascal, ...) and has a comprehensive knowledge of the general programming
structures present in many languages. This course runs in parallel to
`Inleiding in de onderwijskunde'.

2. Objectives (expected learning outcomes) In this course, you will • place computer science as a educational course
within the secondary education • analyse and apply the statement of the
intention, principles and organization of a given school as well as the final
attainment levels • concretize general learning goals, objectives and
attitudes; • put up a statement of the intention, principles and organization
of your lessons for a given year • situate important didactical instruments
including statements of the intention, principles and organization of your
school and lessons, lesson preparations, diary, ...; • put up a model for
educational acting; • make lesson preparations according to a given
educational model; • learn to evaluate your own course content; • learn
how to evaluate your pupils; • ...
3. Course content This course module consists of a syllabus containing a selection of basic
documents like studied in 'General Didactics', supplemented with available
relevant documents published by the educational authorities. The central
theme is to attain the necessary skills and competences in order to function as
a teacher.
