3. Course content
This course can be divided in two major parts.
On the one hand, the most important crimes out of Book II of the Penal Code will be examined. Attention will be paid to the elements required for the application of the specific incriminations en the most recent jurisprudence and doctrine. The students will learn to analyse an indictment and to apply the general principles of criminal and criminal procedure on these indictments.
On the other hand, some special criminal laws (outside of Book II of the Penal Code) will be analysed. We will first focus on the general principles concerning these special criminal laws (like e.g. the special techniques of incrimination and punishment, the applicability of the general principles of criminal law en criminal procedure).
