1. Prerequisites

The students must have passed the exam for the training component 'Heuristics for economists' (or an equivalent course) and thus have acquired the following competences at advanced level: communication skills, the ability to apply current scientific knowledge within the field, the ability to solve scientific problems, a capacity for critical reflection, a capacity for creative scientific contemplation and the ability to work as part of a team.

3. Course content
The Master's thesis should be an independent piece of scholarly work and testify to the author's thorough knowledge of the foundations, structures and methodologies underlying the programme.
The Master's thesis encompasses a written and an oral component.

8. Tutoring
Students are entitled to a number of hours of thesis guidance by their promoter. The promoter should state very clearly where and when he shall be available for individual meetings. The student is required to maintain regular contact with the promoter.
