With preparatory programme: master of law, economic sciences, history, linguistics and literature, philosophy, commercial sciences, biomedical sciences, biology, physics, bio-engineering, translation sciences, etc...
Objectives and learning outcomes

The Master of international relations and diplomacy

  • is able to work out and solve policy-oriented problems about an aspect of international and/or foreign politics; 
  • is able to negotiate about an issue in international and or foreign politics; 
  • can communicate (i.e. reporting, presentations, debate, advice) about a file in international and/or foreign politics; 
  • can execute assignments (missions) in relation to an aspect of international and/or foreign politics; 
  • is able to thoroughly value the real balance of power and the varous interests that are active within the global system; 
  • has a thorough knowledge of the transborder collaboration frameworks, inter-governmental multilateral organisations and the institutions of the European Union; 
  • can anticipate and correctly estimate international economic and political developments and their possible consequences for foreign politics and the position of Belgium/Flanders in the world; 
  • is able to analyse and evaluate ethical questions in international and/or foreign politics;is able to autonomously work out ans solve scientific problems concerning an aspect of international and/or foreign politics.
