2. Objectives (expected learning outcomes) To gain knowledge of - and insight into - the relevance of philosophical and anthropological theories of myth, ritual and their interrelation.
3. Course content
The content of this course is changed annually.
2008-2009: Due to a shift in humanities from a substantial to a functional definition of religion is becomes ever more difficult to grasp the concept of religion. Returning to basic categories as myth and ritual allows us to make the blurred concept of religion more precise. Discussion of debates on myth, ritual and their interrelation.
