The student is able to master the communication mechanisms in its future work situations. More concrete : Interpersonal communication : 1. In appraisal of interlocutors, tak into account : - the way the interlocutor experiences the context influences his behaviour - the polygon of selfs - the interlocutor’s self-evidencies who steer his behaviour - the principle of circularity, through which there is awareness that one’s own behaviour has an unwanted, not always realised and unknown effect on the behaviour of the interlocutor that one is interpreting 2. D evelop several interpretations of one and the same behavior aspect of the interlocutor before making a choice of interpretation, then check the choosen own interpretation by using active feedback ; develop for yourself more insight ànd in your own intentions ànd in the different possible effects of your own behaviour on the other party without you even being aware of that 3. Develop the skill : on the one hand to be able to deal with personal evidences of one self and those of others, and by this preventing misunderstandings and labeling; on the other hand to recognise the influence of common evidences on oneself and others 4. Recognise the difference between I- and you-messages in communication, and be able to work with the I-motive ànd of the other party ànd your own 5. Be able to work with the different levels of recognition, with joining and downing, and with the specific skills that have been practised, as well as to be able to apply the different points of interest of sender and recipient, and to be able to metacommunicate Groupsinteraction : 1. knowledge of a group process 2. recognition of the social- vs taskdimensions and their respective subdifferentiations as well on yourself as on others, how to deal with them, and notifying their influence on the effectiveness of the group and one-self 3. the group as a system : more than the sum of its members 4. recognise roles and standards 5. advantages and disadvantages of the different forms of leadership 6. conflict as a phase in the development of a group, or a real conflict ?
