The students:

-          get insight in the wide fieldof adult education

-          get insight in the characteristics of adults learning

  • The policy of adult aducation in Flanders and Europe
  • Analysing the learning of adults form different theoretical perspectives:
  • deliberate practice (Erickson)
  • workplace curriculum (Billet)
  • transformational learning (Mezirow)
  • experiental learning (Kolb)
  • communities of practice (Lave and Wenger)
  • reflective practitioner (Schön)
  • systems thinking (Senge)
  • organisational learning (Argyris)
  • expansive learnign (Engeström)
