Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Literature: English-German
The full-time model path of the Bachelor of Linguistics and Literature consists of 180 ECTS-credits and takes three years. Each year/part of this model path consists of approximately 60 ECTS-credits. The number of ECTS-credits which you can choose freely varies between 9 and 12, depending on the number of ECTS-credits included in the basic courses which you chose. You calculate them by deducting the number of ECTS-credits of all compulsory courses from the obtainable 180 ECTS-credits.

For the free space you can choose:
- optional courses linked to the language(s) you have chosen or TFL
- general optional courses (to be taken as from part 2)
- courses provided by the Institute for Jewish Studies (to be taken as from part 2)
- all courses from the Bachelor programmes of Linguistics and Literature, History or Philosophy

For optional courses from another programme (outside the Faculty of Arts) you must submit an application to the study progress counsellor.
