On the 18th of October 1677, the feast of Saint-Lukas, the Antwerp Chamber of Rhetoric  "De Olijftak" put on a performance of De Traegheydt, a farce by the Antwerp playwright William Ogier, one of the seven farces in which he deals with the capital sins.  Both writers give a highly personal interpretation of the comic genre.
