The master of Safety Sciences distinguishes itself from other programmes because of its interdisciplinary, transborder and didactical approach.
- Interdisciplinary: Eight disciplines are united around one safety question. As a graduate you have a broad technical, legal, economical, sociological, psychological, chemical, criminological and medical knowledge with a focus on safety.
- Integral: The master unites five domain of safety: safety and well-being at work, security and protection, environment and ecology, quality and sustainable entrpreneurship, social safety and citizenship
- Transborder: Safety does not end at the border. In the programme you will get acquainted with international safety theories and transborder safety questions.
- Learning from eachother: Because of the diverse enrolment you will be challenged through group assignments to work with students from another base-discipline.
During the programme you will have regular contact with the future work field. From the second semester on, you will work with actual safety questions that will be illustrated by experts in the work field. From the third semester on, you will perform research on topics offered by businesses and public institutions, a.o. during the internship and the master project.
