The portfolio of indicators used within the framework of the Open Method of Coordination for Social Protection and Social inclusion is under constant development. The existing data and indicators are subject to ongoing validation and quality control, aiming to further improve their validity and reliability. Furthermore, new indicators are being developed to cover additional dimensions and make the portfolio even more encompassing. For the EU-SILC and each strand, this section provides a short overview of the main issues that are under discussion.
