Daniel Cuypers

Daniël Cuypers, Full Professor, Ph.D.  teaches Labour Law, Social Security Law and Introduction in Law at the University of Antwerp. He studied law at the Universities of Antwerp and Leuven (Belgium). He also studied in Germany (DAAD-Sonderprogramm) and in Cambridge (UK).

 

From 1982 to 1992, he was a lawyer at the Bar of Brussels. He served four years as the academic secretary and six years as the vice-dean of the law faculty in Antwerp. He is now member of various committees and councils at the University of Antwerp and for the Flemish government. Daniel Cuypers is Member of the Board of the Flemish Research Centre on Equal Opportunities and Chairman of the Flemish Centre for Education Law.

 

He is the author and co-author of more than 180 publications (books, articles, reports, student books and reviews on labour law, social security law, education law and antidiscrimination law). He served 74 times as a speaker or president at scientific conferences. He serves as a member of the editorial board and/or as a referee for journals such as the Chroniques de droit social, Journal des Tribunaux de Travail, Revue de droit social, TORB, Oriëntatie, Rechtskundig Weekblad.
