Dave Sinardet is a professor at the Free University of Brussels and a senior research fellow of the Research Foundation - Flanders at the University of Antwerp. He is also professor at the Facultés Universitaires Saint-Louis in Brussels, where he teaches a course in Dutch in the bilingual program.
His research interests include federalism, nationalism, consociational democracy, multi-level politics, political communication and multilingual democracies. He is also an expert on Belgian politics and particularly on institutional reform.
He is an active participant in the international scientific debate on these issues, mainly through journal and book publications and conference presentations, but he is also present in the Belgian public debate, on both sides of the language frontier, amongst others through his column in newspapers De Standaard and Le Soir.
Dave Sinardet is politicoloog, professor aan de VUB en post-doctoraal onderzoeker van het FWO aan de Universiteit Antwerpen. Hij is tevens professor aan de Facultés Universitaires Saint-Louis in Brussel (waar hij een Nederlandstalig vak doceert in de tweetalige bacheloropleiding).
Hij doet vooral onderzoek naar federalisme, nationalisme, consensusdemocratie, multi-level politics, politieke communicatie en meertalige democratieën. Hij is tevens een expert in Belgische politiek en met name in staatshervorming.
Sinardet neemt actief deel aan het internationale wetenschappelijke debat over deze thema's, onder meer via tijdschrift- en boekpublicaties en congresdeelnames, maar is daarnaast ook aanwezig in het Belgisch publiek debat, en dit aan beide kanten van de taalgrens, onder meer via zijn column in De Standaard en Le Soir.
Dave Sinardet est politologue, professeur à la VUB et chargé de recherches du Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique - Flandre à l'Université d'Anvers. Il est également professeur aux Facultés Universitaires Saint-Louis à Bruxelles (ou il donne un cours en néerlandais dans le programme bilingue).
Ses recherches portent notamment sur le fédéralisme, le nationalisme, la démocratie consociative, multi-level politics, la communication politique et les démocraties multilingues. Il est également expert en politique belge et notamment en réformes institutionnelles.
Il participe activement au débat scientifique international sur le fédéralisme et le nationalisme, notamment à tavers des publications dans des livres et revues et des participations à des congrès, mais il est également présent dans le débat public en Belgique sur le fédéralisme, la réforme de l’Etat et les relations communautaires, et ceci des deux côtés de la frontière linguistique, entre autres à travers sa chronique dans De Standaard et dans Le Soir.
