Binnen het Departement Onderzoek, dienst Fundamenteel onderzoek, kwaliteitszorg en databeheer ondersteunt Dr. Nele DEXTERS als expert bibliometrie in het bijzonder de informaticatechnische aspecten van de kwaliteitszorg onderzoek. Zij ontwikkelt queries voor het opzoeken van bibliometrische informatie, staat in voor simulaties en becijferingen, en verzorgt ook punctuele opzoekingen van bibliometrische profielen. Verder bewaakt ze de structuur en de inhoud van de webstek onderzoek en het Antwerpse gedeelte van de webstek van ECOOM, en staat zij in voor de samenstelling van Damocles, en ook voor een tweewekelijkse screening op top-publicaties en de validatie van publicatietellingen.

As our bibliometrics expert, dr. Nele DEXTERS deals with the technical IT-related aspects of research quality assurance. She develops queries in view of extracting bibliometric information, performs simulations and computations and carries out specific searches of bibliometric profiles. Furthermore, she is the webmaster of the ADOC website and the Antwerp part of the ECOOM website, assists in the publication of Damocles, and performs publication counts and screenings for key publications (every other week).
